1st Lt Yates Conducts Seminar on NASA’s Moon Missions at the Air Force Flight Test Center
On Oct 28, 2008, 1st Lieutenant Max Yates (age 24), Orion Launch Abort Flight Test Controls and Dynamics Engineer at NASA Dryden Flight Research Center, presented to a standing-room only crowd at the Air Force Flight Test Center on NASA’s human spaceflight initiative to return US astronauts to the Moon and eventually send a crewed mission to Mars. While assigned to the Orion Flight Test Office, Lt Yates used his experience to engage the community — in both government and public fora — to teach and inspire Americans about their next flagship for human exploration.
